‘CHRISTMAS IN JULY’ LUNCH in THE DANCERS DELI,
BALLET CENTRE 30 JULY 2015
Ballet Society Members and Guests entered a most elegantly decorated Dancers Deli to be greeted by a smartly presented waitress and offered smoked salmon and caviar canapes and a glass of champagne.
The room was touched in pink and gold and the tables beautifully dressed with matching hand-made decorations and standing at the end of the room was a real Christmas Tree cut to fit by one of the Volunteers from her property. You could just about smell Christmas in the air.
The food provided by Deli Manager, Greg Wize, and his Staff and Volunteers was perfect and the ‘plum pud’ homemade and topped with homemade brandy sauce and butter brought smiles to the faces of the guests. There was wine donated by Lady Southey and a slice of homemade Christmas cake to take home! What more could we want!
We had a silent auction of some Deli dinner plates signed by the dancers which was a great success and Coryphee, BROOKE LOCKETT spoke to the guests about her extra role as Patrons Ambassador. She was a delightful
Speaker and won lots of hearts.
At the same time, Company dancers were coming into the Deli during their rehearsal break to get drinks and snacks and Guests were able to have a word with them.
It was a special event and we certainly plan to repeat it again next year. Greg and his Staff and the Committee Volunteers really enjoyed being involved and want to ‘do it again!’
