We are delighted to invite you to a special event. Join us for exclusive access to The Australian Ballet's Class on Stage, where you will enjoy a behind the scenes glimpse of how Company dancers begin their working days.

Following a Q and A with Steven Heathcote AM, Principal Repetiteur, you will move

Into the Stalls in the Ian Potter State Theatre for viewing the class.

Be one of the first to step inside the newly renovated theatre and watch the company at work.

When:

Tuesday 27 October

Time:

10.30am for Q and A, 11.00am - 12.15pm for class

Where:

Ian Potter State Theatre, Arts Centre Melbourne

As numbers are limited, early bookings are encouraged.

We are delighted to invite our members to "The Nutcracker" Dress Rehearsal

You are cordially invited to the dress rehearsal of "The Nutcracker" and our return to the State Theatre.

To celebrate our return, we are offering two events on the one night.

Join us in the Amcor Lounge at The Arts Centre for drinks and canapés and listen to Andrew Dunlop, Principal Pianist at the Australian Ballet as he tells us all about the music of "The Nutcracker" and Tchaikovsky and his music. This event is at 5.15pm - 6.45pm, just before the dress rehearsal which starts at 7.00pm

When booking you can choose from the following: 

Option 1: A ticket to the pre-show champagne function in the Amcor Lounge AND a guaranteed A reserve seat in the balcony according to The Australian Seat map which is on the The Australian Ballet website.

Option 2: Purchase a ticket to the pre-show champagne function in the Amcor Lounge and/or add a seat of your choice of reserve.

Option 3: Purchase a ticket from the reserve of your choice only.

Option 4: Purchase a pre show champagne event ticket only

Dress Rehearsal: 7.00pm

The State Theatre

Please note that the seating is only in the Balcony. We have not been given access to any seats in the stalls or circle. Numbers are strictly limited and the prices reflect the seats position and reserve. When booking please select the reserve you require from the drop-down menu.

Tour the Dome at the Royal Exhibition Building followed by an exquisite Devonshire Morning tea

What does it include:

An icon of Melbourne’s history opens its doors to a unique view unseen for 100 years.

With its origins steeped in history, the Royal Exhibition Building was built for the 1880 Melbourne International Exhibition. As a key attraction of the 1880 and 1888 international exhibitions, the Dome Promenade provided visitors a unique opportunity to overlook the gardens and view the Melbourne skyline.

This guided tour allows visitors to once again be able to experience these spectacular views along with an exhibition that explores the building’s significant history and varied uses over time.

Followed by Devonshire Tea experience at Mercury Restaurant at Melbourne Museum. Enjoy freshly made scones served with forest berry preserve jam and clotted cream and bottomless tea while overlooking sweeping views of the historic Royal Exhibition Building.
