The book launch of Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up: Lessons in Love and Surmounting Grief by retired ballerina, now Author, Petal Ashmole Winstanley.
Growing up in Perth, Petal was taught by West Australian Ballet Founder, Madame Kira Bousloff OAM, who become a figure of inspiration throughout her career. Petal's natural talent and ambition led her to London in the swinging ’60s, launching a vibrant career on the international stage filled with glamour, travel, and the challenges of life as a professional dancer.
Although her story is a lifetime of creative fulfilment, it has been tinged by grief and profound personal losses. A celebration of artistic passion, resilience, and the enduring power of dance to sustain and transform a life, Petal's story will leave any reader both inspired and enriched.
