MOVE // MAKE – A Workshop with Lucas Jervies
For young dancers and aspiring choreographers
Session 1: Contemporary Class at
11.00am on Saturday 6 September
A dynamic class that builds strength, musicality and movement clarity. Begin with a full-body warm-up, followed by Flow Fundamentals—phrasing designed to develop breath, articulation and alignment. Progress into a rhythmically charged exploration of Action & Gesture, equipping dancers with tools to generate expressive and technically grounded movement.
Session 2: Speed Making – Choreography for Everyone
1.15pm Saturday 6 September
Lucas shares his signature Speed Making process: a step-by-step choreographic method that’s fast, fun and accessible to all. Whether you’re a first-time creator or developing your choreographic voice, this workshop provides clear strategies for turning ideas into movement, building solos and group material, and embracing creative decision-making with confidence.
