The Lucky Son by Li Cunxin is the highly anticipated sequel to his bestselling autobiography, Mao's Last Dancer. The memoir continues his inspirational rags-to-riches story, exploring his life in the West, his cultural identity, and his reinvention as a principal dancer, stockbroker, and artistic director of Queensland Ballet.

Continuing the legacy of his first autobiography, The Lucky Son follows Li Cunxin as he navigates the dazzling world of international ballet while wrestling with the complexities of his cultural identity.
